YOUNG PAIR

Please note this pair are Buzz and Willow, now posted in December

This pair of young shar-pei (we have not been given their names yet) must be homed together.
They are looking for homes through no fault of their own and their owner is very sad to see them go.
The fawn male is 10 months old and the black female is 1 year old.
They are a bit naughty with cats and we are not sure about children at the moment.
They do both have minor skin problems, but these can usually be easily addressed.

KAYTO

Kayto is a 2 year old horsecoat and needs a very special and understanding home.
He needs a new home where he is the only pet as he has a very high prey drive.
He is only suitable for an adults only home and as he is exhibiting several behavioural problems.
From the back story given by his current owners, Kayto's problems stem from him being extremely
nervous and insecure, which has lead to hyperactivity, nervous aggression and seperation anxiety.
His owners say he's been like this since they got him at 12 weeks old and have even tried a behaviorist.
Kayto really needs to go to a tranquil home with a shar-pei experienced handler who has
the patience, confidence and understanding to help Kayto feel relaxed and secure in himself
as right now, he's a very unhappy dog through no fault of his own or his current owners.

RIGGS

Riggs family say he has a very good temperament.
He is good other dogs, but has never met any cats so that is unknown.
Riggs is good with children. He loves visitors and even when stranger visit he just wants to lick them.
His favourite toys are soft fluffy ones and he loves his belly and ears rubbed.
Typical of many shar-pei, Riggs does not do recall so needs to be kept on a lead when out on walks.

CAPTAIN

Capain's neck is badly swollen due to being tied for some time on a very tight rope.
The rope has sliced deeply into Captain's neck. This kind of damage is also common when a collar becomes embedded.
Captain enjoying some food. His eyes are almost closed due to infection.
Poor Captain was handed in to a vets as a stray with deep neck lacerations and ear/eye infections.
Despite local publicity, the person responsible for his cruel treatment has not been found.
The vet suspects the wounds were caused by a rope, but should heal well.
Despite his ordeal, he is still very friendly with people, though it's not known how he is with other dogs.
Captain is now looking for a loving home environment where he can recuperate and heal.
He will need to go to the vet every few days for a few weeks to check his neck wound is healing well.

Hachi is a 17 month old neutered male.
Hachi needs a calm and experienced adults only home.
His current owners say he is brilliant 99% of the time but he can be unpredictable around food,
